I believe, Boxing Day road trip or a hike is a must. Especially, if you are spending Christmas in Scotland, where stunning nature is on your doorstep!

On Boxing day we decided to visit Kilchurn Castle - stunning ruins of the 15th-century castle in Argyll and Blue. The castle is located on a rocky peninsula at the northeastern end of Loch Awe. Standing proudly alone in the field, surrounded by the water the castle has a very powerful presence! Heavy fog for on the day created especially dramatic and mysterious atmosphere!

On my last day, we drove to Edinburgh and spent the morning climbing Arthur's Seat, right in the city. This time the weather was crisp and sunny, perfect for the hike and the views!
